Together with our partners at the Family Acceptance Project, we’ve put together a resource for mental health and social service providers and organizations, the Trauma-Informed and LGBTQ+ Affirming Checklist for Practice with LGBTQ+ Children, Youth & Families. The checklist highlights a broad range of action steps that individuals and organizations can take to ensure LGBTQ+ children, youth and their families feel safe, welcomed and affirmed when seeking care. It was initially created as a training tool for our LGBTQ+ affirming care and Family Acceptance Project model workshops and is now available for the first time as a downloadable resource for the public.
